I've spent the last two years in prison relaying stories to a blogger about my crimes, arrests, and life in four Florida prisons, the Pinellas County Jail, juvenile detention and drug rehab. I'm sending a message to others not to make the same mistakes I did.
Yeh, but, what is the update on what Ted is doing to keep others from making the same mistakes that he did, now that he is out?
ReplyDeleteMy son in law will be coming home from a 2 1/2 year sentence. He was also 19 when he went in and has been writing 2 years of what I call 'jail talk'. All the promises of a better life and goals,ect... I am a person that believes a person can be anything they want to be and this kid still has potential. I am not so naive to believe all his words, but I have hope. This blog could be the support he needs when he gets out. Too bad their are not more 'ex-con' support systems. This could be a great idea. I wish you all the luck in the world, and praise your attempts to make your wrongs, right! The one thing that keeps coming to mind when I read all these comments is, people cant judge you unless they have walked in your shoes. Keep you head up and walk on.
ReplyDeleteTed I have been reading your stories for the last couple days. I think they were good and it seems like you really want to change. Your home almost
ReplyDelete8 months now. It be helpful to other kids if you wrote about your life on the outside, your successes
and challenges. How is it like being home, what
about friends, family, school, work. How do you
start a new life. You have a gift writing, I encourage you to continue.
My son Kevin went to jail at 19 he's been getting
into trouble since he was a kid. He spent a year
in the county jail and was sentenced to 5 yrs. because he was on probation and got into more trouble. He was sent to CFRC for a month and RMC
for a few days. Now he's in Lancaster C.I.
you went to the same places. How is it at Lancaster, He just got there. I know you were in the work camp that was great but I don't think
Kevin qualifies for that. He really wants to
change his life. Any tips on how to best survive
there? Well Ted I hope you are doing well, keep writing, if it helped you in jail I'm sure it will help you now as well as others.

Wow, some of those responses should have taxpayers fuming that they pay for that. But it is what it is I suppose.
